CPNP Notification: Your Gateway to the EU Market
The European Cosmetic Product Notification was established in Article 13 of the EU Cosmetic Legislation and became live on July 11th, 2013.
The CPNP (Cosmetic Product Notification Portal) is the online centralized notification system of the European Union for cosmetic products. All products, irrespective the distribution channel (retailer, internet), must be registered on this portal prior to being placed on the EU market.
Only one notification is necessary to access the 31 countries of the European Economic Area. The European Economic Area is made of the 28 EU Member States + Norway + Iceland + Lichtenstein.
Notification to the CPNP is essential to ensure that your product is safe and meets all legal requirements before the launch.
This portal can only be accessed by Responsible Persons in the European Union, customs officials and Ministry of Health officials. Responsible Persons are either natural or legal person designated as such within the Community.
